Why Buckeye Rank Exists

The idea for Buckeye Rank was born from a realization by Zeeshan Farhad (Zee), a Licking County-based entrepreneur who saw the struggles of small businesses in Ohio. After reading an article titled “Ohio rated as one of the worst states in the US”, he dug deeper into Ohio’s business rankings, exploring U.S. News Best States Report and other research.

One thing became clear — Ohio had incredible potential, but small businesses weren’t reaching their full digital potential. Many businesses in Licking County, Franklin County, and across Ohio relied on word-of-mouth, outdated marketing, or basic websites. That isn’t enough anymore. Customers now search on Google, ask AI assistants for recommendations, read reviews, and expect fast, mobile-friendly, high-ranking websites before they choose a service or product.

Instead of accepting the status quo, Zee saw an opportunity to make a real impact. That’s when he launched Buckeye Rank — an AI-powered digital marketing agency focused on helping Ohio-based businesses compete and win online, using the same AI tools the big brands use.
